An LED light source gives a rich colour gamut that exceeds the standard for LCD flat panels by 50%, and is 115% of the standard for NTSC colour space.
Marrying this with reliable DLP projection, results in digital display colour reproduction as accurate as print media. MicroTiles are a digital canvas capable of replicating your brand’s colours accurately.
Displays are continually auto-calibrated ensuring that, even when run 24/7, they consistently represent your brand.
The rich colours of a MicroTiles display are matched by its brightness of up to 800 nits per tile. A nit is a unit of luminance measurement, often used to describe the brightness of flat panel displays. By comparison, LCD flat panels range in brightness from 250-350 nits. Plasma displays average around 100 nits.
Built-in auto-calibration adjusts the brightness of each tile, ensuring consistent output across the display. DLP projection, the purpose-built lens and the special screen on each tile gives even illumination, avoiding ‘hotspots’. Brightness can also be manually adjusted to match ambient light levels.
With a native resolution of 720 x 540px per tile, and no limit on size, it’s easy to create very high definition MicroTiles displays. Their modular building block approach means that the more tiles you add to a display the higher resolution it becomes.
Christie MicroTiles have the finest pixel pitch in their class, better than LED, laser phosphor displays, LCD or plasma. Physical pixels of only 0.5mm, mean displays offering 2500 pixels per square inch.
This makes MicroTiles your clearest digital display solution at any size, any distance.
With any tiled display solution, the combined image is the main concern. If there are wide bezels between components, this makes the larger image difficult to read and risks data going unnoticed.
MicroTiles make this problem a thing of the past, with seams between tiles of about 1mm.
Even with seams this narrow, each tile is easily accessible from the front, allowing maintenance access, with no bezel to remove, and no need to move or switch off any other tiles.
